Ongoing Efforts
Our work has just started, as we are nowhere near resolving the structural inequalities experienced by rural left-behind kids. Here is a glimpse of our ongoing endeavours
Remote English Lessons
PTK funds and bridges rural schools to an international school in Hong Kong, where students provide English speaking and reading classes via live online teaching.
PTK has been able to make this happen through coordinating between schools and donating to provide projectors, computers, and speakers. Striving to break down the geographical and resource barriers between left-behind kids and educational equality.
1-to-1 mentorship program
PTK is also working towards scaling 1 to 1 mentorship between volunteer students and left-behind children, building off the foundation of emotional connection formed during the volunteer teaching trips to gradually foster healthy socio-emotional development

By creating strong, consistent connections between volunteer students and left-behind children, it provides a place and person for each child to healthily express emotions, deepening the sense of security and love in the process. Ultimately fostering socio-emotionally healthier adolescents despite the lack of parental support.
